The Harp in Healing & Spiritual Connection

Pythagoras said "music heals" and he used the lyre as a healing instrument, developing theories about the effect of pitch and mode on the human body.

The sixth century philosopher Boethius described music as "a principle that united body, soul and spirit."

The ancient world revered the harp as a gift from the gods and used it as a celestial communications device. Listening to, or playing the harp could connect heaven and earth and deliver messages from the angelic realms.

    The Vibration of Music
Using the vibrations of music appropriately we can alter our vibrational energy through sympathetic resonance, or entrainment. If we are depressed, angry, lethargic or sad, we can raise our vibration through music, releasing ourselves from depression, pain, sadness, or anger. Of course music is not a sole resource for long term or chronic emotions, but it can certainly be used as an aide to help us through difficult times.
